First time Buell owner. Still waiting on the manual but need help in the oil dept.
Is there just one oil drain for the entire engine or does it have seperate crankcase and engine oil? How to drain and how much to fill each?
Also, what is this oil resevoir thing that resides under the seat and tail section? Why and what does it do and does it need to be drained and how much refilled with?

Need to get a straight line measurement from one tip of the handlebar to the other for any of the S-1s. I don't mean following the contours of the bar with a flexible tape measure. But rather, just a straight end from one tip straight across to the other.
My bike has clipons modified with the stock handlbars made to fit. But I want to try and get them trimmed as close to stock, width wise, as I can.

A long, long time admirer of the Buell tuber bikes. My fav being the S1W. I finally succumbed and added my 6 bike to my stable; a bike I don't plan to sell.
Here it is in various states of undress. I hope to add more pics as my project develops. A few items the owner did to the bike:
- Bub pipes, one per cylinder.

Hello all hopefully someone can help me out. I just bought a 03 xb9r with 14777 miles on it, a month ago from a dealer,when i bought it idled like a champ but i went to go take it for a ride since its relatively warm today and it wont idle. It will fire up and run when i give it a little bit of throttle, but once u let off the gas it wil die or sometimes it will idle for maybe 30 seconds then die???? Its got a full tank of gas and a freshly charged battery.

I finally got my manual in the mail last night and I started reading about how to change the plugs and adjust the valves. Wow... I hope this is something that I don't have to do more often then every two years. The "rotating the engine" section has really gotten me a little scared. I need to get into it a bit more, but it sure looks like a few hours worth of work. I hope this thing doesn't like to foul plugs. Oh well...
