I'm looking for the following info:

Blast head-
Chamber CC's, Intake/Exhaust valve size, Int/Exh port volumes, what piston does our head match

Blast Piston
Compression height (distance from centerline of piston pin to crown of piston), dome popup volume, and crown height above/below the deck when piston is installed.
Lastly what piston is this considered? Is it the same piston as another buell bike's piston?

Pictures would be great with nice labels. I've never seen the blast piston.

I'd also like the above information on any other pistons and heads that are interchangeable with the blast.


I ask for this because I've read snippits here and there on the buellforums chat but I always seem to miss parts of the conversation and I'd like to have it all in one place for all of us.

My goal: Find a piston that matches our head better than the current piston, and hopefully bumps the compression moderately. If that's not the case, then just a piston that matches our head better to improve squish/quench. To bump compression I'll consider decking the head while it's off.

The guy told me it looks like somebody rode it for years with no oil. I need about a dozen parts $750 plus 5hrs of labor. I paid $1,400 for the bike, is it worth fixing? How do I go about selling it for parts? How much could I possibly get if I sell it for parts?

I have attempted to figure this issue out but I am coming up empty.

The issue I am having is regarding the circuit breaker on my '00 Cyclone. I have the wires hooked up correctly (I think) according to a schematic that was provided in my original thread. When the circuit breaker is wired and battery is installed I get nothing when I turn on the key. No power anywhere. When I hook the battery up to a charger the breaker keeps tripping. The battery will charge briefly then the breaker will trip and cut off power. I'm assuming I have an open circuit/ground somewhere but I have no idea where to start looking. Would anyone have any suggestions? Being as it's middle of the winter up here in northern Wisconsin I'm not able to get my bike into a shop at this time. I appreciate any suggestions that may come.
